In this day and age, a bride can wear whatever she wants without having to worry about the whispers and comments. Traditional is lovely but times change and so does style.

At Brides, we find ourselves being asked to make custom-made wedding gowns along with bridesmaid dresses. We love this challenge and even though it can be stressful, the end result is very rewarding.

So our next challenge is to make a black wedding dress without it looking too much like a mourning outfit. So in Joan's mind, she immediately thought about black beading and silver incased rhinestone and crystals , on a rich sura satin.

We will show the finished piece and ask for your opinion. Nothing wrong in wearing black, and having your guests wear white. The contrast would be stunning.

Great pictures.
