Unknown Costs

Sooooo, I was supposed to get married this year and had a budget which I assumed would cover the venue, flowers, catering, etc. What I didn't think about was the cost of the marriage license.  

I had no idea that to legally get married, you have to pay almost £1000? I think it's a bit ridiculous. Weddings do cost, and we save for a year or two believing that the savings will cover the fees.  What we don't expect is to fork over exuberant fees for a piece of paper.

Brides, be aware.
